Do small businesses operating in an online environment implement data modeling? Or they take help of software such as QuickBooks for accounting, Jotform for form management, WooCommerce for their online store and their RDBMS taken care by itself. Which in turn means no need to start with data modeling before coming out with tables and columns.
Even so, is there a scope to get competitive advantage by taking recourse to data modeling for such small businesses.
