WPForms and its integration with all major email marketing software: Demo of Sendinblue integration

For building an email list of a WordPress site, consider WPForms and OptinMonster.

A. Static and dynamic forms with WPForms and OptinMonster respectively

WPForms is focused on creating static forms, such as admission form for a computer training company; OptinMonster on contextual forms based on visitors’ activities, such as exit popups once a visitor sensed exiting the website.

WPForms and OptinMonster together help interact with the visitors through forms that are optimized for WordPress CMS. They load fast while consuming the least resource. While OptinMonster is platform independent, WPForms only for WordPress.

Features like multipage forms, online payment through the form (PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.Net integration), conversational forms justify premium pricing of WPForms. B. How WPForms/OptinMonster relate with email marketing software

One may wonder if indeed I am using an email marketing software, why then spend on WPForms/OptinMonster if indeed forms and popups can be created even from an email marketing software. The answer is that with WPForms/OptinMonster, you get a whole host of features pertinent to static/dynamic forms that are perhaps not available with your email marketing software under one package. WPForms and OptinMonster have kept their niche limited to what they stand for, collecting leads. For making the most of leads, both WPForms and OptinMonster integrate with all major email marketing software. For this article, we examine WPForms integration with Sendinblue.

 

C. Integrating WPForms with Sendinblue

For this article, we take a look at the process of integrating WPForms with Sendinblue.

With Sendinblue addon, forms created using WPForms can be connected with Sendinblue. Users added through WordPress forms can be appended to your choice of lists in Sendinblue. Users can be unsubscribed, deleted, or tracked for events.

Sendinblue addon is available with Plus plan and above.

Install and activate WPForms on your WordPress site.

C.(i) Connecting WPForms with Sendinblue account

Next, move on to Addons under WPForms on left sidebar of WordPress admin dashboard.

You get a list of all available addons with your plan.

You can also use the search button to locate addons.

In case the addon does not appear, click Refresh Addons.

The above screenshot is for locating AWeber addon. A similar process will apply for Sendinblue.

Next, move on to the Integrations menu.

 

Click Add New Account.

Need to fill Sendinblue API Key and Nickname (optional).

Click Connect to Sendinblue button and you are taken to your Sendinblue account. Click on the main menu (top right corner), select SMTP & API.

 

 

API Key can be viewed from here.

 

 

Copy API Key from above and move on to WPForms settings in order to paste the copied API key. Nickname is optional and for internal reference in case more Sendinblue accounts are connected.

The status now showing Connected.

C.(ii) Integrating a form (created using WPForms) with Sendinblue

Now comes the time to integrate a form with Sendinblue. Either create a new form or edit an existing one. Under Marketing of form builder, click Sendinblue and Add New Connection.

 

Enter any nickname (for internal reference only).

Under Select Account, you get a list of all connected Sendinblue accounts. Choose the one you would like to connect with the present form.

 

 

Once you select your choice of Action to Perform, additional settings will populate for configuration.

 

In the above screenshot, under Email, select the WPForms field with email address of subscribers.

New Email is for updating an existing list with a WPForms field that will have a new email address of the subscriber. For this example, it can be left blank.

List will fetch all Sendinblue lists. Choose the one that will add subscribers.

 

Any custom Sendinblue field can be mapped to WPForms field.

 

With WPForms’ conditional logic, so-called hyper-segmented lists can be created for better outcomes. The next step would be to create email marketing campaigns on Sendinblue making the most of their tools with professional designs, personalization, and automation capabilities.

Almost using the same method as described above for Sendinblue, WPForms integrates seamlessly with all the major email marketing software/CRM including:

For this case study, I will be automating sharing of any new content (post/page/product) on our website digitalsplendid.host to all email subscribers using GoDaddy Email Marketing software. Any popular email marketing software should accomplish this objective. Sharing to your subscribers any new content (especially blog posts/products) is one of the easiest and cost effective ways to generate traffic/sale to your website/online store.

Need to activate RSS to Email feature under Add-ons.

 

 

In order to send emails only about fresh blog posts, feed URL instead of https://digitalsplendid.host/feed, will be https://digitalsplendid.host/blog/feed.

In order to send emails only about fresh product additions, feed URL https://digitalsplendid.host/shop/feed.

In case not in a position to implement email marketing software due to cost or other reasons, a free plugin that will serve the purpose of sending emails to subscribers about new blog posts is Email Subscribers & Newsletters plugin by Icegram.

2. Automate sharing of new blog posts to your social networks using free version of Jetpack

To automate the sharing of new posts to your social networks, there is free version of Jetpack. This might be a feature that though free and powerful often overlooked.

For each idea or associated URL and images, Tailwind Create automates the process of generating multiple designs, tweaking as you like, and then sharing a few using features like SmartSchedule and Tailwind Communities. The whole process is seamless with drag & drop and no programming knowledge needed.

Now comes the magic of Tailwind Create. Based on the images added, you get a number of designs for Pins that you can share. Choose a few to share for each idea.

The aim of Tailwind Create is to create and share quality content with ease. With Tailwind Create, you get immediate access to so many wonderful designs for an idea that it becomes irresistible to share all. Yet it is better to focus on refining few quality Pins for each idea instead of Pinning similar designs, even if each design for an idea appears unique with Tailwind Create. In order to quickly zero in few designs to refine, make use of filters under Content, Industry, and Pin Format.

A whole host of editing tools with Text, Elements, and Photos.

Once a particular design is selected, it will not be altered while other designs can be tweaked under Design Settings. Once design selected for Pinning (selected designs can be more than one), press Review Your Selection.

You can still ‘Try on different looks’ the selected designs by playing with colors or styles or fonts before pressing Go Schedule.

You can either schedule all the drafts under one click or choose one by one.

Select board for each design or Pin. One design can have multiple boards to schedule for.

Make use of SmartSchedule for letting Tailwind algorithm decide the best time for engagement. To know more about SmartSchedule, click here.

Select the board under which the design/Pin to be placed for sharing.

To know the status of scheduled Pins or SmartSchedule, click Scheduled Pins on the top menu.

Make use of Community feature to multiply sharing of Pins with like-minded peers. To know more about Tailwind Community, click here.

Tailwind Create is one more tool to speed up your Pinterest marketing while adhering to overall Pinterest SEO, best practices. Pin in moderation. Do not create too many Pins for a URL or share many in quick succession.
